Description:  Campus Walk

Firm's Responsibilities: Commissioned to overcome the problems of the vehicular/pedestrian conflict imposed by a street which bisected this college campus, the design transformed the thoroughfare into a campus walk, 3,000 feet in length and opening up into plazas in front of the many Georgian style academic buildings which line its way.

Awards:  1993 Inform Award, Virginia Society of the American Institute of Architects;  1989 Honor Award in Design, Virginia Chapter, American Socity of Landscape Architects;  1987 National Honor Award for Design, National Concrete Masonry Association.
